The Gauntlet Games wants everyone to come outdoors and have fun with their friends, regardless of their fitness ability. Our ethos is that races are for everybody – not just marathon-runners. There is no time limit, and the many Gladiator Zones allow you to take a breather while you wait your turn.

You can choose from a 5k or a 10k option, depending on how big a challenge you would like to set yourself.

The minimum age for taking part is 17, for insurance purposes.
There’s no maximum age!
No. If any of the Gladiator Zones make you feel uncomfortable, you do not have to take part.
All of the obstacles are featured on the 5km race, so you won’t miss out if you enter the 5km. If you enter the 10km, you’ll have a chance to do them all twice, plus you might get a few bonus natural obstacles thrown in as an additional challenge!
No. Although you will be getting wet, none of the water will be above waist height. Remember you can also duck out of any of the obstacles you’re not comfortable with.
Well done for signing up! You will receive final instructions by email two weeks before the event. You need to pick up your race pack in the Event Village on event day. You will also be given your t-shirt at the same time. Please make sure you print out and sign a Liability Waiver and bring this with you – we can only give you your race pack when you complete this.
As a rule of thumb, the race will take you double the amount of time that a regular, flat road run will take you.
The first wave leaves at 09:30 and the last wave leaves at 11:30. From 09:30 to 10:15, all the waves are for the 10k runners, and from 10:30 to 11:30, all the waves are for the 5k runners.
Our Event Village festival will have everything you need for a great day out. The catering zone will have at least 3 different caterers, including hot drinks and food. The fancy dress zone will include face paints, your photo board and various props for selfies. The kids zone will have entertainment for kids and the post-party zone will have music, drinks and entertainment for adults and families.
We will also have toilets, changing areas and kit store (for car keys only where the car park is provided by us).
We advise that you arrive at least one hour prior to your race start time, to allow time to park, register and enjoy the Event village facilities, before going to your warm up. You will be called to your warm up approximately ten minutes prior to your race start time.
You could choose to join one of our charity teams if you are looking for buddies to run with. You can also join our on Facebook for the Event you are taking part in, and ask others there if you can join them.
Yes! There are discounts for teams of 10 or more (10% off). You can still enter a team of less than 10, at the regular price. Click here to enter and select ‘Team’ on the first page.
Your ticket is valid for the event you’ve signed up for only. You can transfer your ticket to another person to run in the same race, but your ticket will not be valid for another race.
We recommend that you wear tight running leggings (baggy clothes will get stuck and left behind!), as well as a sports t-shirt or long sleeved top. You may wish to wear a base layer under your t-shirt if the weather is cold. Your footwear should have good grip – gym trainers will slip all over the place so we recommend trail running shoes (no spikes permitted). Your clothes and shoes will be getting wet and muddy so be prepared for this!

We strongly recommend that you bring a warm change of clothes for after the race and for your journey home.

Yes, we have one water station on the course, as well as water at the finish. Our roaming medics are able to reach the whole course area and will be on hand throughout the race, both on the course and at the finish line in a treatment centre.
Spectators are welcome at all our events. Our 2017 will feature a brand new, Event Festival, with entertainment for racers, families and friends. Our spectators simply need to pay £5 to enter the car park, and entry to the Event Festival is free. More information about our Event Festival can be found on the site.
Photos will be ready between 24 and 48 hours after the event. You will receive an email when they are ready, and you will find them on our Photos page.
We’d love your help! All our volunteers get a free t-shirt and free entry into a race of their choice. Click here to find out more and enter as a Volunteer or Gladiator.
